Suiseki is a Japanese term, Sui meaning water and seki meaning stone. Suiseki is a single naturally occurring rock which is admired and valued. We here at Bonsai Mane call it “The natures stone art”. Where the stone in itself is a visual storyteller. The stones can depict or look like various things we see in nature. Like mountains, landscapes, objects, color patterns or anything that a human mind can think off.

The reason for collecting these could be many like decoration, appreciating nature, relaxing, positivity and meditation, commercial reasons, happiness and many more. Though the art is around 1000 years old, the stones can be millions of years old. The human link with collecting and appreciating stones, goes back to the times immemorial across various ancient civilizations.

Inspired by Mr. Maninder Singh (Jabalpur) our Suiseki Guru . We want to bring stone age back to home in the form of Suiseki stone collection. This gallery is only for display and are part of our collection only.
